Royal watchers say Serena Williams revealed the sex of Meghan and Harry’s bub

As the royal baby gender guessing game reaches fever pitch, many think that Serena Williams just gave the game away.

Spilling the royal beans?

Serena’s mum to her own littlie, one-year-old Olympia Ohanian, and is also a very close friend of Duchess Meghan. Those two factors have apparently combined to make the tennis great one of Meg’s closest confidantes when it comes to pregnancy and parenting advice.

So much so, in fact, that royal fans think Serena has accidentally let details of the incoming baby slip.

In an interview with E! News Serena was asked whether she thought Meghan would make a good mother.

“She’ll be the best mom, for sure,” was her response and she also suggested all new mums should “accept mistakes and don’t expect to be perfect.”

“We put so much pressure on ourselves,” she added … and here comes the bit that has royal fans pricking up their ears:

“My friend is pregnant … she was like, ‘My kid’s gonna do this,’ [and] I just looked at her like, ‘No, she’s not’.” – Serena Williams.

What an incredibly special surprise the grassroots led #globalsussexbabyshower was last Sunday! The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are immensely grateful for the outpouring of love and support in anticipation of the birth of their first child. In lieu of sending gifts, the couple have long planned to encourage members of the public to make donations to select charities for children and parents in need. If you already made a donation, the couple send you their greatest thanks. If you are thinking about it, they ask that you kindly consider the following organisations they’ve selected, which we will highlight here over the next few days: @thelunchboxfund @littlevillagehq @wellchild @baby2baby The Duke and Duchess remain appreciative for your warm wishes and kindness during this especially happy time in their lives! Thank you for sharing the love ❤️

The royal “she”?

It was that exchange that had people wondering if the pregnant friend was Meghan and if the “she” referred to was the incoming royal bub.

It’s most certainly not the first speculation surrounding the gender of Meg and Haz’s kiddo.

Harry declared he’d love a little girl during the pair’s tour of Australia last October.

Another of Meghan’s friends – Misha Nonoo – was spotted buying a pink baby shawl recently, so that sparked even more chatter about a possible royal baby girl.

So what’s the official word from the palace? It’s that the pair don’t know the sex of Baby Sussex and will find out when it’s born.

In the meantime, they’ve reportedly decorated the nursery at their new digs – Frogmore Cottage – in gender-neutral style.

“Go with the flow”

And as for Meg’s bestie Serena – who has apparently sent a bunch of Pampers nappies across the pond for the royal baby? Well, she says that motherhood forced her to shake up her own expectations of herself when baby Olympia showed up following a very traumatic birth.

“I had all those high expectations and what I was going to do and then I had what I was going to do,” she told E! Online.

“I was gonna recover and I was gonna be great, and this is a time that everything is not going to go as planned. My whole life is so planned and this is the one time where it wasn’t. You just gotta go with the flow.”
