Chatter about the upcoming royal baby’s arrival is reaching fever-pitch, with two fresh updates emerging.

Royal doula

New reports on the Duchess of Sussex’s pregnancy suggest that Meghan and Harry will have an extra pair of hands to help them through their first child’s birth.

“Meghan is focused on calm and positive energy around the birth — she’s a big believer in that,” a source told US Weekly, explaining that a doula will assist during the royal baby’s birth.

It’s being reported that the doula in question is a lady named Lauren Mischon, but this has not been confirmed by official sources.

When asked if she was indeed prepping for this big arrival, Lauren told The Sun, “Well, I am obviously not at liberty to talk about who, or who might not, be my client. So I can’t possibly … I wouldn’t be able to talk to you about anything.”

Meanwhile Facebook group Doula UK has been awash with chatter about just who would be attending Meg and Harry’s birth. Doula UK member Lauren responded with a winking emoji when asked if it was her, commenting: “I’m busy in Spring. I could not possibly say.”

Meghan to give birth at St Mary’s after all?

Also busy in Spring are the staff at the royal hospital of choice, St Mary’s.

A source told the Telegraph that, “staff at the Lindo Wing have been asked not to take holiday in April. Everyone thinks it’s got something to do with the royal baby but no one is confirming anything.”

After initial reports that Meghan would choose a hospital closer to her and Harry’s new home at Frogmore Cottage, it’s now thought that St Mary’s Lindo Wing, where Duchess Kate and her late mother-in-law Princess Diana have both had their babies, are on standby for the royal bub.

A March move

Renovations at Meghan and Harry’s new home are not yet complete, but the couple are slated to make the shift from Kensington Palace in March. This is just a few weeks ahead of Meg’s due date.

ITV News has been told the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have pencilled in a moving date of March so they can get settled into their new home several weeks before Meghan has their first child,” the outlet reports. “The Duchess recently told crowds on Merseyside that that their baby was due in ‘April or May’.”

The Palace has declined to confirm any plans for Meghan’s birth as yet.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit One25 in Bristol – a charity that helps women break free from street sex work, addiction and other life-controlling issues, through practical and emotional support. While helping volunteers pack food parcels for some of Bristol’s street sex-workers, The Duchess asked if she could write empowering messages on the bananas to the women – a simple gesture and a way to incorporate positivity and kindness for those needing a self esteem boost. HRH learned of this idea from an act of kindness by a school cafeteria worker in the US who wrote messages for children, and The Duchess wanted to do the same for others in need. The food parcels, and The Duchess’s messages, will be delivered directly to vulnerable women on the streets by One 25’s ‘Yellow Van’ – part of their outreach programme. #royalvisitbristol
