Fifi Box recruits Lisa ‘Magic Bits’ Wilkinson for helpful pregnancy first aid

Fifi Box and Lisa Wilkinson

Fifi Box just shared a little about the trials and tribulations of pregnancy, and has roped work buddy Lisa Wilkinson in to provide some relief!

Fifi Box’s second baby news

Broadcaster and The Project panellist Fifi and her five-year-old daughter announced her pregnancy in February via a jubilant Instagram post.

“Trixie and I are over the moon/jumping out of our skin/can’t stop smiling/floating on air/dancing in the streets/walking on sunshine and every other metaphor that conveys absolute pure joy.”

“Being a mum is my greatest joy in life, it is quite simply everything to me,” she continued.

“Trixie has brought me more happiness and love than I ever imagined possible and to feel my heart expanding to include this little angel kicking and rollicking within me.”

We’re having a baby!! Yes Trixie and I are over the moon/jumping out of our skin/can’t stop smiling/floating on air/dancing in the streets/walking on sunshine and every other metephor that conveys absolute pure joy 😍 How did this happen you might ask? Well, a few years ago I made an appointment to see an IVF specialist, the amazing Dr Sameer Jatkar at Monash IVF, and I began an IVF journey to extend our little family. After a series of egg retrievals and freezing, last year I started the process to become pregnant via an anonymous donor. I am still pinching myself that I have been this blessed and that this little miracle is growing within me, a much wanted and longed for sibling for a very excited big sister! I know the value of this miracle because I have seen first hand the heartbreak, tears and sacrifices so many women and couples suffer on their IVF journeys and my heart goes out to those who are facing that pain and struggle. It is not lost on me that I am one of the lucky ones. Being a mum is my greatest joy in life, it is quite simply everything to me. Trixie has brought me more happiness and love than I ever imagined possible and to feel my heart expanding to include this little angel kicking and rollicking within me, I am overwhelmed with how much love and happiness the future holds. I will cherish Trixie and this little angel forever, and hold them so close for the rest of our lives 💕💕💕 #family

Magic Wilkinson

She also revealed that she’d been dealing with some pretty yucky morning sickness and very recently has admitted that she’s suffering from some debilitating back pain.

It’s okay though because she’s got fellow The Project star Lisa ‘Magic Hands’ Wilkinson in her corner.

“Pregnancy related sciatica kicked in today but lucky I had Dr Lisa Wilkinson on hand for a deep tissue massage! Magic hands!” Fifi explained on Insta as she shared some very funny photos and video of herself on the receiving end of those magic hands.

In fact, Fifi didn’t stop there. She revealed that Lisa has magic elbows too. Gasp!

“I can’t recommend Lisa Wilkinson highly enough,” Fifi wrote, “For any lower back remedial pain you might have, magic elbows!!”

Co-star Peter Helliar quickly weighed in with his own response to Lisa’s hands: “I was in the dressing room adjacent to this and on hearing this I thought @Fifi_box was either having the baby or somehow conceiving again!! Great work @lisa_wilkinson.”

“What a nightmare”

Followers were keen to discuss this turn of events too, with many sharing their own remedies for pregnancy back pain.

“My god I had this with my last babe!!” one posted. “What a nightmare!! My osteopath was my life saver! Find one you love and see them religiously! Will be the best decision you ever made! They also help your body be in the best shape possible for birth.”

“How can you even lie on your tummy like that?” another Fifi fan asked.

“Wow Fifi!! I was like a blimp when I was pregnant!! I couldn’t lay on my tummy! You look great,” someone else wrote.

“I suffered terribly from sciatica all throughout my pregnancy,” another fan posted, “and found acupuncture to be the best treatment (although not doubting Lisa’s skill). Good luck!”

Other helpful sorts recommended a tennis ball under the butt as an excellent remedy. So there’s that.
