Social media master, Mark Zuckerberg has been extremely open about his and his wife’s struggles with miscarriage in the past. But, now, as the couple count down the days until they meet their baby girl, Mark has shared a beautiful photo and touching message to his wife and mum-to-be, Priscilla Chan.
Mark Zuckerberg is no stranger to the social media spotlight. After all, he is the man behind Facebook and thus, it is only natural that he took to his own Facebook page to showcase an elegant photo of himself and Priscilla in the final stages of pregnancy, taken by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz.
“I love her expression: intense yet kind, fierce yet loving, leading yet always supporting others,” Zuckerberg wrote on Facebook.
The couple have been incredibly open about the struggle leading up to the upcoming arrival of their first child. In July, Mark announced the pregnancy and expressed the pain and sadness of experiencing three miscarriages in the past.
“You feel so hopeful when you learn you’re going to have a child,” Zuckerberg wrote. “You start imagining who they’ll become and dreaming of hopes for their future. You start making plans, and then they’re gone. It’s a lonely experience.”
The touching message and beautiful photo clearly captures the love and excitement for the parents-to-be. All pregnant mums deserve to be recognised for their strength and Mark’s elegant words highlight this to perfection.
Mark gets a big thumbs up from us at Babyology.

Words cannot express how enamored and proud I am of my husband and father of our future son. Last night being chosen as his "Icon and Hero" is beyond anything I would have imagined. I always think I know the parameters of his love and he continues to show me that it is indeed endless. I know that love will spread to our son and he will have the great honor of calling Nick his dad. Thank you my love for all that you do and all that you are and everything you are yet to be.
