10. A dark abdominal line

If you’ve developed a vertical line on your bump which leads down your tummy, this is called the ‘linea nigra’. It usually appears in the second trimester and is caused by an increase in skin pigmentation as the muscles of your abdomen stretch to accommodate your baby. Like other dark skin markings, it usually fades after birth.
