We’ve been waiting patiently to hear news of Tessa James and Nate Myles’ much longed for baby, which was reportedly due in December. The new parents have finally given us confirmation that yes, their bub has indeed arrived safely.

Baby makes three

Tessa James has finally put speculation to rest about the arrival of her new bundle of joy by posting a black and white photo Friday morning of her husband Nate Myles pushing a pram in the street, along with this super sweet quote:

“As soon as I saw you I knew a grand adventure was about to happen.” – Winnie the Pooh

The couple have chosen to not share a picture of their bub or the details of the birth, name or gender at this stage but instead seem to have taken this time to adjust to life as a family of three in private. Tessa’s followers on Instagram were ecstatic that all was well with the new bundle.

A challenging journey

When the former Neighbours and Home and Away star announced last year that she was expecting her first baby with her husband of six years, former rugby league star Nate Myles; it was smiles all round.

Previously Tessa had been unsure whether she would actually be able to conceive, having undergone chemotherapy for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2014 before having a chance to freeze some of her eggs. Even more challenging was the fact that her father was also battling the same cancer at the same time.

The brave new mum had decided to leave her motherhood dreams to fate, but luckily it paid off with the inspiring actor announcing last year that she was in remission from cancer and pregnant with their first child. Now the story gets even better with proud Tessa revealing this morning that her baby has safely arrived.

“It’s a miracle”

While Tessa’s pregnancy journey has been a happy miracle, she’s quick to point out that all babies are in fact miraculous.

“Being pregnant is a miracle because growing a baby, it’s pretty incredible when you think about it. When you haven’t had children and you see mums and kids everywhere you just think that’s normal. But when it happens to you, you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, all these women have done this? Wow,'” the actor told Elle Australia last year.

We agree Tessa! All babies are amazing and we’re so happy your little one is finally here.

Congratulations Tessa and Nate! We can’t wait to see more pics!
