This ace mum wasn’t going to let a few pesky contractions get in the way of her usual fitness routine. Nu-uh. She squatted and lunged her way to a baby, instead!
Werk it!
Remember Anna Strode, the strong and energetic mum who totally owned her husband in that recent very-very-pregnant workout challenge?
Well, she’s BACK! She’s had her baby, and in true Anna style, she spent the early stages of her labour staying active and busting out a workout in the delivery suite. As. You. Do!
“My last #pregnancyworkout was at the hospital just hours before we met our gorgeous Madi Grace. We were on the ward waiting for contractions to ramp up and a delivery suite to become available so we could meet our sweet baby girl,” Anna wrote in her Instagram update.
Hat trick!
The clip posted shows the Bubs2Bikinis mum busting out some rad moves beside the bed she’d soon deliver her baby in. As. You. Do!
Not only that, Anna revealed that the bed is the very same one her two older children – Lachie and Sammy – were born in! Newborn Madi Grace cleverly made it three in a row.
“Speaking of delivery suites, guess what – our little Madi Grace was born in the EXACT same room as Lachie and Sammy,” Anna wrote.
“The hospital is big and has over 20 delivery suites but it just so happened that they were all welcomed into the world in the same room. How cool is that!!!”
Super cool. That’s how cool. *nods*
“I’m quite sore and completely exhausted and also quite emotional,” Anna admitted in an update after the birth, sharing a shot of her beautiful new baby girl.
“I just hope I can be strong and brave enough to be the best mama possible to our gorgeous children.”
We’re 101 percent sure she’s up for the job.
Inspired
Anna’s fans were also in awe of her energy and loved catching a glimpse of her true-to-form approach to birthing her baby. The enthusiastic and positive comments on her post were testament to this:
“What did they give you?!?!?! Lol. You may be one of the first to workout in the hospital. As soon as I showed up, I threw up in the lobby from my contraction,” one giggled.
“Your dance moves are everything ! Congrats!!” another posted.
“You have helped me stay in shape my entire pregnancy. I don’t know if I will have the strength to go as far as you did, you are just amazing and I can’t wait for the motivation and inspiration postpartum! Thanks!” one inspired fan wrote.
“Oh man, you are just so damn cool…how you managed to have that kind of energy right there in the hospital is unreal! You’re a rockstar!” another fan posted approvingly.
It’s so great to see people encouraging each other in such a wholehearted way, right? What a lovely change from the usual, often very fraught tone of social media comments.
Huge congratulations to this gorgeous family on their new little girl!
