WHEN 3 BECOMES 4 ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Our darling little bun came out of the oven earlier this week 🍞 Sweet little soul. You are already so blessed. Healthy as can be with a family that has fallen head over heels in love with you. A big brother that is already so attentive and protective, (who has also handled all these big changes like a boss ) a Dad who is so smitten with you and that you already have firmly wrapped around your little finger. And myself, who's been so lucky to have carried you in my belly for 9 months and to have had the pleasure and privilege of birthing you into this world (and can I just say .. we nailed it kid 👊🏼). I'm so committed to being the absolute best mother, friend and role model for you. Thank you for choosing me to be your Mama, my darling girl 💖

“Our darling little bun”

The mum-of-two uploaded a gorgeous photo to Instagram to announce the birth. The black-and-white shot featured four hands – Megan’s, Shaun’s, the pair’s son’s and the new baby’s – and a lovely caption welcoming the new arrival.

The Gale-Hampson newborn – a little girl, her name not-yet-revealed – is a sibling for 3-year-old River – and a little ray of sunshine in the wake of some semi-recent tough times. Megan is understandably brimming with gratitude, emotion and excitement (as we’re sure the entire family is!)

Megan had been quietly spending time at home with her preschool-aged son, in readiness for the adorable family up-size. Then she was spotted a couple of days before the birth, looking absolutely ready to burst and very hungry!

Babyology staffers swiftly predicted the baby was very, very imminent and there’d be a Friday night announcement. We were bang on the money, it seems!

“WHEN 3 BECOMES 4”, Megan posted. “Our darling little bun came out of the oven earlier this week. Sweet little soul.”

Happier days

This new “darling girl” hopefully signals a brand-new, brimming-with-happiness era for this lovely pair as they’ve had more than their fair share of difficult times.

Back in January, Megan revealed that she’d suffered a miscarriage in 2016. It wasn’t the only heartbreak the couple had endured. Shaun’s dad, Tom, died in April 2014, just a few weeks before River was born – and Megan’s own dad, Alan, died later that year, in October.

We’re excited to hear this much-wanted baby has made her appearance and could not be happier for this gorgeous family.

Congratulations Megan, Shaun and River on your new little bun!

I find it so shocking that breastfeeding in public is still so frowned upon and considered inappropriate in many cases. Women are being made to feel guilt and shame for breastfeeding their child when it is not only undoubtedly the best method to feed your baby, it's also the physical function of breasts and what they're intended for. I have faced my own triumphs and struggles trying to breastfeed – it's harder than one can imagine. However I (thankfully) was never told not to breastfeed in public. I'd like to see someone try and tell me not to 🙅🏽 When you finally get the hang of it and have the ability to do it, the last thing any woman wants is to be told to stop, that it's inappropriate, wrong or abnormal. It's the most normal, natural thing in the world and it needs to be fully accepted not frowned upon. I actually wondered whether or not to post this photo as I had the thought "Is it a bit too full on for Instagram"? But I instantly realised it's that exact train of thought that is encouraging the stigma. So here I am, in my most natural state, doing what comes naturally with my beautiful boy ❤️ I encourage you to post your own breastfeeding pics ladies during #worldbreastfeedingweek (Aug 1 – Aug 7) and help to #normalizebreastfeeding ❤️ * edit – please note this is NOT an anti bottle feeding post. I've had to bottle feed too due to my own struggles with breastfeeding. Read the above carefully. It's about creating awareness around the fact women are still being asked to stop breastfeeding in public and made to feel shameful and inappropriate. Having breastfed and bottle fed my son I stand by my above comment that breastmilk is the best form of milk for a baby. Not always possible to do and yes I agree it's heart breaking when you can't, I've been there believe me I know. ☺️❤️
