Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively welcomed their third daughter recently and they’re being characteristically low-key when it comes to revealing details.

Lies, lies, lies!

Naturally when Ryan appeared on the Today show the hosts quizzed him about more than his most recent role. They wanted to know about his new baby.

When asked how they came up with a name for their third bub Ryan told Today that he and Blake “haven’t yet”.

Given that she was born SEVERAL months ago, this seems to be … an outrageous lie designed to protect their baby’s privacy and give this family a hint of normalcy. How dare they?!

“We’re gonna be original, and all the letters in her name are silent,” Ryan continued, going off on a distracting tangent. “I want to give her something to push against in life.” #CoolStoryBro

No doubt their baby’s name will be revealed at some point, but for now, it’s not for us to know.

“It’s been incredible”

Blake and Ryan are also mum and dad to three-year-old Inez and five-year-old James (both girls) and Ryan did speak a little about them.

On being a father of three girls he said, “I love it. It’s been incredible.”

“Going away … gets a lot harder when they ask, ‘Where are you going?’, ‘When are you coming home?’, ‘Why are you leaving me?’” the Deadpool star admits.

The first time Ryan spoke about this new bub, he took the opportunity to send a broader message.

Sharing a photo of himself and Blake with their newborn, he confirmed she was a girl and asked followers to get politically engaged for the sake of the environment.

“I want my daughters to experience the same natural playground I grew up in,” Ryan tweeted. “On Oct. 21, the candidate you vote for will SHAPE CLIMATE POLICY. I’m proud of the climate progress made the last 4 years.”

We’re guessing that if they DO share their third child’s name, it might be with similar bonus content to make the most of the reveal.

Stay. Tuned.
