“Excuse me!” Kim Kardashian upset her sister doesn’t like baby Psalm’s name
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West choose anything but stock-standard names for their children, and it was recently revealed that Kendall Jenner – Kim’s younger sister – is not a fan of the one they chose for baby number four.
I didn’t care for it
Kendall popped up on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show. and admitted she didn’t “care for” her newest nephew’s name.
When it came to choosing Psalm’s name the couple took things down to the wire. They simply could not decide on the perfect moniker, so Kim rallied her sisters to help with the choice.
“Kim made me come to her house and like, help her pick a name,” Kendall said.”And it was this whole thing. She would not let me leave the house until we figured out a name. And then ended up going with a name that I didn’t even—like, that I didn’t care for as much.”
“I think they were all really beautiful, but I was kind of rooting for another name,” Kendall clarified, noting that baby Psalm was “awesome” and “adorable”.
“Excuse me!”
Next minute, Kim saw the Fallon interview and was not happy her sister told the entire world that she wasn’t keen on Psalm’s name.
“I was like, ‘Excuse me! First of all, say it to me first; don’t say it on TV for me to—'” Kim told Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa in an interview on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan on Friday. Kim then gave her version of events on that fateful baby-naming day.
She explained that they were down to the last day of the ten day period allowed for registering a baby’s name, and she’d called in the reinforcements to help her finalise the decision (and help her baby avoid the government-imposed name, John Doe!)
“I woke up, and Kanye was working and busy, but I knew our [name] list. So I called every sister, and Kendall was available, so I said, ‘Come over now, you’re not leaving my house until we get the name.’ And Kylie was like, ‘I’ll be on FaceTime with you guys.’ “
“Psalm, get over here!”
Kendall dutifully fronted up for this summit with Kim and Kylie, but it seems that her opinion wasn’t called upon after all. That’s not to say she didn’t help with the final choice …
“Kylie and I were vibing on the same name,” Kim admits. “And so Kendall and I, I have this big hallway, and you can hear down the hallway, so we’re screaming out every name, like ‘Psalm, get over here!’ … trying to see what name we liked the best.”
The name Kim and Kylie (and presumably Kanye) liked most was the one they finally chose – Psalm.
“I think Kendall was more mad that her first choice wasn’t first,” Kim asserted.
