The designer dollhouse that lets children both sit and play

Let me be clear Babyologists, I don’t speak an iota of Japanese but when something as cute as this appears before my very eyes, I’m not going to let any old language barrier stand in my way. Click on through to find out just exactly what’s so special about this little red number – and I’ll cross my fingers there isn’t too much lost in translation!

From the highly skilled Ichiro Furniture Japan, we bring you this unique and oh-so-clever dollhouse. Now don’t be fooled, this is not just any dollhouse, it’s also (cue drum roll) a chair. Designers Torafu Architects have cleverly combined the two worlds of fun and function, resulting in one rather awesome dollhouse. I mean chair. I mean Dollhouse Chair.

Made from sturdy birch plywood, this toy home proudly displays a gorgeous bright red roof and, because we know moving can be a pain, we love that you don’t even need to move all of the dollhouse furniture out before closing it up – there’s enough room to keep it housed completely!

I can’t tell if it can be shipped to Australia, but I do know the Dollhouse Chair has a ¥28,000 price tag which converts to around $332. Head on over to Ichiro Furniture for more fantastic Dollhouse Chair photos and information.
