Wiggles Emma Watkins and Lachy Gillespie were together over Christmas
Wiggles fans are heartened by Emma and Lachy Wiggle’s cute bond, as the pair reveal they spent some of their down time together over the festive break.

The popular yellow and purple Wiggle continue to navigate their separation amicably, with Emma sharing a photo of them enjoying a pre-Christmas Day lunch together.
“Pre-Christmas friend feast,” she captioned the Instagram image of herself, Lachy and two buddies beaming into the camera from a restaurant table.
This is their first Christmas since their separation in mid-2018, so it’s pretty gorgeous that they made a plan to see each other and usher in a new Friendmas festive tradition.
For couples who have separated, Christmas can be a particularly fraught time as they adjust to a different sort of celebratory season. Emma and Lachy are modelling a brilliant way forward made possible by the fact that despite ending their marriage, they’re committed to staying firm friends/work buds.
“Maybe there is still a chance?!”
Wiggles fans were heartened by this cute snap, and decided it meant that the pair may some day reconcile.
“I love seeing you both still hanging out together,” one fan posted.
“Could it be? I hope so!” another fan wrote, implying that this image could have captured something more than friendship.
“Hahahaha maybe there is still a chance!?” someone else posted hopefully.
“You guys will get back together. It’s on the cards,” another follower decided.
Of course, this photo probably ACTUALLY means that … Emma and Lachy remain close friends … and that they’re simply keen keen to move forward and find a new way to be together.
A big 6 months for Emma and Lachy
Emma and Lachy announced their split back in August of 2018.
“We have, and continue to share, the most beautiful life together, but we wanted to let you know that privately for the last six months we have been navigating through a trial separation, and we have made the decision to separate as a couple,” the couple said via an Instagram post on 3 August.

Since then they’ve stressed that they have the utmost respect and affection for each other, and have continued to perform together.
“We are the best of friends, we always have been, that’s how it started,” Lachy said in September.
“To be able to realise as a couple that we were going different ways and to stay as close as we are is a real testament, I think, to both of us,” he continued. “I love her more now than anything and she loves me more than anything.”
“I think we just realised that we were meant to be best friends,” Emma said post-split explaining that they had fallen “a little bit” out of love and also that “we just started to realise that we weren’t the right fit anymore”.
They’ve pushed on balancing their new lives apart with creating a different kind of bond between them – and seem to be making great inroads if their cute lunch is anything to go by.
