The Rock has written a girl-power focused post about his toddler daughter and it seems to predict some kick-ass daddy-daughter times for this cute pair.
Dad of two
Dwayne and partner Lauren Hashian have a daughter, Jasmine (Jazzy!) born in December 2015. The Rock was previously married to Dany Garcia. The pair are parents to 15-year-old daughter, Simone Alexandra.
Taking to Instagram yesterday, Dwayne shared some passionate chatter about his future hopes for toddler Jazzy.
“There are mornings in life where there are no words… this is not one of those mornings,” The Rock began.

There are mornings in life where there are no words.. this is not one of those mornings. Jazzy, let daddy tell you his goals. By 5, you'll be looking people in the eye when you firmly shake their hand. By 8, you'll know how to fish, drive daddy's pick up truck and do cardio. And by 10, you'll be able to directly say to people, "Great job, I like it a lot, but let's see how we can make it better". Helluva plan right sweetheart? Buh! *she points to the ground at a bug. It was a good talk. #DaddyDaughterMoments #TeachEmYoung #PickUpTrucks #AndBuh
Open letter, ahoy!
The Moana star then went on to do that thing may of us do on social media – share some intimate words for our nearest and dearest … with the entire world! Here they are. You’re welcome.
“Jazzy, let daddy tell you his goals. By 5, you’ll be looking people in the eye when you firmly shake their hand. By 8, you’ll know how to fish, drive daddy’s pick up truck and do cardio. And by 10, you’ll be able to directly say to people, “Great job, I like it a lot, but let’s see how we can make it better”. Helluva plan right sweetheart?”
It’s obvious Dwayne has high hopes for Jazzy and won’t let gender stereotypes – or licensing laws – stand in her way.
For what it’s worth, Jazzy already appeared to be in quite a fearless mood, already going eyeball to eyeball with a new pal (although not managing the firm handshake quite yet!)
“Buh! *she points to the ground at a bug,” The Rock explained. “It was a good talk.”
This proud and hopeful dad is obviously thrilled that they’re sharing some open dialogue, and that Jazzy’s toddling into life in a curious and adventurous way.
We love the sky’s-the-limit sentiment of The Rock’s post, obviously, but can’t help but think TRUE daughter empowerment involves providing all kinds of opportunities – and letting Jazzy craft her own dreams and discover her own passions? That Jazzy’s goals might be an even better focus?
Still, good on Dwayne for believing his daughter is capable of awesome, big things and devising an exciting and intrepid bucket list! It’s a good start.
Let’s see what Jazzy wants to do, next, though? Go Jazzy!! Do your thing!

Flexin' 💪🏾our Moana muscles. Got up early to get some good, quiet Sunday work done in my office and this lil' tiger wakes up, wanders in and wants to watch "Mo".. her way of saying Moana. And aaaaall daddy's work comes to a screeching halt. We're excited for tonight's #Oscars. Grateful to be nominated! Time to hit the gym and yes, standing up while I work at my desk is my jam. 😉👊🏾✊🏾
