“Father of the year” Chris Hemsworth introduces his kids to Thor movie

Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Patacky are parents to three kids –  five-year-old daughter India, and three-year-old twin boys, Tristan and Sasha. The fact that their dad was THE ACTUAL THOR had apparently proved pretty unimpressive to this little gang. Until now …

The OG Thor

Chris has now played the part of Thor in NINE movies, so it comes as a surprise that his kids have not yet been obsessed with their dad’s alter-ego until now. On the weekend, Chris decided the time was right to Thor up their little lives, and it appears they were impressed and suitably transfixed.

Chris uploaded a video to social media showing his wee gang taking in Thor Ragnarok on an iPad. He pans the camera from spellbound pre-schoolers to his own thumbs-up and back and we admit we were thumbs-upping too. Granted our own show-off moments to our kids consist mostly of pointing out we’ve picked up all the ancient sultanas from the back seat of the car, but we can kind of imagine how gratifying this was for Chris.

Possibly his kids are much more impressed than our sultana-surveying littlies, but he’s been focused on the Thor thing for quite a long time, so it’s understandable that he’d be a titch ahead.

Thor, Schmor!

Chris’ kids were aware their dad was Thor, but had previously been unimpressed by this news. Perhaps they had not yet seen the films? Chris’ “the brainwashing has begun” update makes us think this is their first viewing, and perhaps the couple had been holding off due to age-appropriateness and possible copycat daredevil acts!

“I come home from work and one of my boys in particular is like, ‘Did you fight the monsters, Papa? Did you hear the monsters?’ He knows Thor, Chris told ET Online last year.

The other two, they’re just not impressed! They’re like, ‘Yeah, my dad’s Thor, whatever! At least one of them likes me. One out of three’s pretty good.”
