Pink finds herself at the centre of a heated debate about circumcision

Pink and kids

A dismayed Pink has fired back at fans who scrutinised a photo of her little boy Jameson and then criticised her parenting.

“You’re all f*cking disgusting”

Some stories beggar belief and this is one of them. When Pink shared a photo of her son Jameson, a toddler who is just two years old, some fans took it upon themselves to zoom in on the little boy’s genitals and start a debate about circumcision.

A dismayed Pink quickly deleted the photo and uploaded another shot, this time Jameson’s penis is blacked out. She added a new caption highlighting how innocent the original photo was and how upsetting the trolling in response to it had been. And who can blame her?

Pink said, “You’re all f*cking disgusting,” to those that had criticised her circumcision choice and focused on her toddler’s genitals.

“Seriously something wrong”

She later turned off comments as the trolls returned.

“There’s something seriously wrong with a lot of you out there. Going off about my baby’s penis? About circumcision??? Are you for real? As any normal mother at the beach, I didn’t even notice he took off his swim diaper,” Pink wrote.

“I deleted it because you’re all fucking disgusting. And now I’m turning off my comments. There is something seriously wrong with a lot of you out there. Smfh. Here’s a picture of the pelican we obviously caught and abused for hours before dangling baby penis in its face.”

“People see what they want to see”

So what kinds of things did people say about Pink’s little guy? To be honest most are too horrible to repost here, but basically, they used incredibly strong words like “mutilated” or pointed out that circumcising a child is “cosmetic surgery” or indicates that parents think their child is imperfect.

Who can even imagine saying such things about a child, let alone the child of someone they don’t even know?

Thankfully lots of fans rallied around Pink, taking to a previous photo which DID have comments turned on to voice their support.

“I saw the original pic and didn’t even notice that he didn’t have a diaper on,” one wrote. “I just saw a mom and her kids enjoining the day together and marvelling at this beautiful pelican. I guess people see what they want to see. That says more about them than it does anyone else. Sorry people are running their mouths on your child. It’s disgusting and disgraceful.”

“Shaking my head”

Pink’s understandably had it up to here with the terrible behaviour that runs rife in her social media comments.

“Shaking my head at the state of social media and keyboard warriors and the negativity that you bring to other people’s lives,” Pink admitted in the caption of her post.

This high-profile couple are obviously trying to juggle communicating with fans via social media – which helps to keep food on the table – with the frustration and distress that the constant trolling is causing them. It’s got to be exhausting and very demoralising.

In fact, it’s probably only a matter of time before they turn off all comments once and for all … and who can blame them?
