Kate Hudson is thankful for her babysitting teenage son (and her breast pump!)
Teenagers are very often unfairly cast as Fortnite-obsessed, fridge-emptying ratbags, but Kate Hudson’s son is shaking off the stereotypes. (And maybe a teenager YOU know is too?!)
Thankful
Kate recently gave birth to her third child – a wee 7-week-old baby girl named Rani – and is also mum to sons 7-year-old Bingham and 14-year-old Ryder.
It’s her eldest child Ryder that’s captured the hearts of many Kate Hudson fans. Not only has he popped up on her Instagram account snuggling up to baby Rani, his OWN Instagram account also features a bunch of sweet photos of his new baby sister. Nawww.
Marking Thanksgiving over the weekend, Kate took to the socials to admit that she’s super thankful for her eldest son’s nurturing instincts … and for her kiddos in general.
“Post Turkey Day,” Kate wrote in her post, “my son comes into our bedroom, takes his sister in his arms and spent some solid early morning time loving her.”
“I watched thinking … I’m thankful for love. Unconditional love and that my children embody what it is when one feels loved. Let’s all have an entire year where we stay grateful. Keep this party going :)”

“You are a giver”
Kate’s followers were super thankful that she shared this sweet photo, and praised her parenting and Ryder’s gentle nature.
“Like mother like son,” one posted. “You are a giver like your beautiful Mom too, you give love you receive love.”
“So perfect,” another wrote. “I love sibling love. I was worried with mine about the age gap but, they all just adore each other. What a very sweet big brother she has.”
“You’re raising a wonderful young man,” a follower commented. “We need more gentle, loving men in this world. And he’s a cutie. Good job momma!”
“Gratitude for my pump”
It’s a brilliant sentiment and the mum-of-three went on to detail other things she’s thankful for too, posting a shot of her breast pump.
“Thankful for the miracle of life and really working on gratitude for my pump,” she posted alongside a vision of her trusty equipment going about its booby business.
Kate and her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa welcomed baby Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa on 2 October.
“We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa,” Kate wrote, announcing the birth on Instagram. “Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor.”
It seems that Kate has been surrounded and inspired by lots of special gents, Ron, Bingham and Ryder included.
