The Santa sacks that Duchess Kate bought for her kids are the absolute cutest

Duchess Kate

We love festive family traditions and it seems that Duchess Kate is pretty keen on them too, snapping up some very sweet Santa sacks to make her kids’ Christmas even more special.

Special delivery

While not all the presents intended for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will make it to the trio, they’ll not be short on Christmas gifts this year.

The littlest royals will find their gifts bundled into these gorgeous Harrow & Green Santa sacks, a tradition that William and Kate started several years ago.

The custom hessian sacks were originally bought by the Cambridges for Prince George and Princess Charlotte, but they’ve since added a third sack – gifted to them by Harrow & Green to celebrate the birth of baby Prince Louis – as well.

The festive sacks are generously sized at just short of 1 metre high and feature each child’s name printed in bold type, along with the words “Express Mail Service. Please deliver the enclosed presents to … Delivery date: 25th December” with instructions to return to the North Pole if unclaimed.

They’re trimmed with cheery gingham, tartan and stripes and can be custom printed for around $40 a pop (which seems VERY reasonable!)

Royal Santa sacks by Harrow & Green

A festive tradition

These sacks are sure to create a lot of excitement when the little royals spy them overflowing with toys on Christmas Eve … or possibly on Christmas morning.

Traditionally the royal family open their gifts the day before Christmas, but it’s possible that Kate and William might extend the excitement by popping these at the end of their children’s beds ready to be discovered in the wee hours of Christmas Day.

A very royal Christmas

George, Charlotte, Louis will be spending this year with their parents at the Queen’s Sandringham estate, joining Prince Harry, the expectant Duchess Meghan, the Queen, Prince Philip and various aunties, uncles and cousins.

It’s hoped that we might see Prince George attend the Christmas service at St Mary Magdalene Church with his mum and dad this year for the first time, considering he’s practically a big boy now (even sporting long pants on multiple occasions!)

Fingers crossed for that!
