Wooden toys that are modern art

Why pull a wooden dog on a string when you can inspire an early appreciation of modern art with a Keith Haring Pull Toy?

Keith Haring’s work is instantly recognizable. His vibrant and bold drawings, which began with chalk drawings in the subways of New York, were inspired by graffiti art. His sketch, the ‘radiant baby’ has become iconic and has been used by Vilac designs, along with other Haring images, to create wooden toys that are unique and will appeal to children and adults like.

Pull toys are always popular with toddlers – perhaps they like being in charge of movement or perhaps it gives wanderers around the house a greater sense of purpose. Either way, they’re a much used toy in a toddler’s cache. I kind of like the humour in a toddler pulling a crawling baby toy!

Also in the Vilac collection are Haring coat racks and sets of dominoes. The dominoes are sensational, each one a little work of art and all featuring Haring’s most popular images.

The Radiant Baby Pull Toy is US$72, coat racks begin at US$66 and the dominoes are US$72. All are available from Unica Home, who ship to Australia via an established freight handler.
