Wooden perfection from Chigo

The beautifully crafted Chigo collection of wooden toys from Japan includes traditional toys such as skittles and wooden spinning tops, as well as modern playthings such as kitchen sets, cameras and a mobile phones.

All of the toys in the Chigo range are made from locally sourced wood and are embellished with natural pigments. Whilst the dusty blue spinning tops are almost too pretty to play with, it is the kitchen set that wins me. The perfectly round wooden saucepans with lids and utensils are superb – not sure I would be letting my kids bang these pots and pans around their toy kitchen!

Prices range from ¥945 to ¥21,000 (approximately $12 – $250) and can be shipped to Australia.
