Wife uses two police officers to prank her husband with the best news ever!

There are many fun ways to announce your pregnancy, but this woman from Texas took things to a whole new level with the help of her local police.

Sirens, car seat questions and confusion!

In the video posted online in April, we see U.S. Army Veteran Jarred driving with his wife Nikki when he gets pulled over by the police. When they approach the car he appears to know the officer but is told he was stopped for driving with a child in the car who’s not in a car seat. A confused Jarred tells the officer there is no child after which he’s asked “Are you sure?”. This is then Nikki’s cue to hold up her positive pregnancy test and announce “We do have a child in the car without a car seat!” to the stunned and delighted Jarred.

But wait, there’s more…

Jarred’s cheeky wife Nikki staged the whole prank herself but she didn’t stop with the positive pregnancy test.

The officer then tells a stunned Jarred that he thinks it means he’s going to be a daddy and jokes about suggested names before a second police officer hands Jarred a bag through the window. Inside it contains a small onesie reading “I heart My Amazing Dad” and a teddy bear holding a note from the baby telling Jarred that they will see him on his birthday (Nikki’s due date being Jarred’s birthday).

“I feel happy!”

Jarred can’t believe it and thinks the news is awesome, with the officers offering their congratulations too before heading on their way. When Nikki asks how he feels, Jarred replies “I feel happy!” before kissing his wife. How cute is that?!

Good news after tough times

After the video went viral, the excited army veteran also then shared how thankful and grateful he was for the experience. “I’ve been struggling with my psychological disorders; being admitted to an inpatient hospital twice within the last 6 months and numerous Emergency Room visits due to panic and anxiety attacks,” said Jarred to the Associated Press.

“I actually met the officer in the video during a very traumatic panic episode in November 2016 and ever since he’s become a great advocate for my family and I,” he added.

What a lovely story! We wish Jarred and Nikki all the best on their pregnancy journey and also hope Jarred continues to heal from his health challenges. Watch their adorable video now!
