Whose room?

A good friend recently gave me and a few other friends a tour of her newly built home. The house is superb, but while the others were oohing and ahhing over the bathroom tiles, I was fixated on the name plaques on the kids’ bedroom doors.

These were not your standard wooden letters spelling out her childrens’ names. Instead, adorning the newly painted doors were some very sleek, very neat room signs by Australia’s own Iddy Biddy Boo.

To describe Iddy Biddy Boo room signs as easy-to-mount square vinyl tiles does not do them justice. In fact, there are more than 40 beautiful, modern designs to choose from including a simple ladybird or delicate autumn leaves for girls and a stylised train track or retro rocket for boys.  I like the fact that many of the designs will be suitable well beyond the baby years and that many will appeal to both boys and girls – the see-saw design would be perfect in my house where my son and daughter share a room.

Once you’ve selected a design, pick a shade from the superb array of colour choices. The fact that Iddy Biddy Boo has five different shades of green and five shades of blue to choose from speaks volumes!

There is also a range of signs for other rooms in the house, including ‘the loo’, ‘the pantry’ and ‘the laundry’ (no one in my house seems to have trouble finding the pantry, but the laundry is  more challenging…perhaps I need a door sign?!)

Room signs are $34.95 each and I think they’d make a fantastic, thoughtful gift for a new baby. Order directly through Iddy Biddy Boo. All products on their website are hand made by Mums.
