Tomorrow, Australia’s most iconic children’s television program, Play School kicks off its 50th year celebrations. Come and see who is opening the 16-day celebrity showcase series titled Play School Celebrity Covers. Here’s a hint, you won’t want to ‘Miss’ it!
Benita and Don will debut their rendition of Teddy Bear’s Picnic on ABC Kids at 8am followed by Missy’s take on Three Little Fishies at 5pm.
Recently Missy, who is mum to an 18-month-old son, Samuel Arrow posted about her Play School appearance via Twitter, using the hashtags #greatestdayever and #lifegoals. Clearly it was a fun adventure for the Aussie songstress.
You can expect Don’s charisma and Benita’s warmth to add some sparkle to the iconic set as they showcase their talents and take us on a trip down memory lane. Both Benita and Don, who is the father of Russell Crowe’s ex-wife, Danielle Spencer, are two of the longest running presenters in the Play School saga.
Stay tuned every afternoon as Babyology reports on what celebrities are starring next or check out the full program guide. Also check out Big Ted’s Excellent Adventure: 50 Years of Play School at 7.40pm, 10 July 2016 on ABC , hosted by Kate Ritchie followed by the program’s official birthday launch on 18 July 2016 at 6:30pm with a collection of mini episodes.
