When it comes to a bath, I’m flexible

When I was pregnant with my first baby I asked a few friends with children what they considered to be ‘essential’ baby buys. A baby bath was on all their lists, as was ‘If you can borrow a bath from someone, do so because they just take up so much room!’ And they were right – the baby bath takes up a lot of room for something that is only used for a very short time each day during the first couple of months of a bub’s life.

Danish company, A Real Cool World, have revolutionised the baby bath. The Flexi Bath is a hard plastic children’s bath which folds up flat with a simple touch of your hand. The bath comes in a range of colours (including completely transparent – very cool), features a non-slip surface, is suitable for newborns to children aged four and has a clever plug which is a built in temperature indicator. It is also friendly in all the right ways – no PVC or BPAs.

The Flexi Bath is hitting the shelves worldwide over the next few months and is scheduled to be available in Australia in early 2010 but if you simply can’t wait it can be purchased for €39 from Spanish online retailer, Gugu.
