Welcome to the doll house

For budding interior decorators aged five and up, Protozone’s Doll House software is sure to thrill.

Open the door of the Doll House and find an interactive program that lets children create their own place. Practically everything in the house can be changed: from the pattern and colour of the bedspread to the wallpaper and tiles. You can paint your own pictures for the walls, turn the lights on or off, and change night into day.

Protozone has created a number of software applications that explore patterns, including the amazing Kaleido Draw and wallpaper and quilting programs. The Doll House software combines all these pattern-makers into one.

What’s great is that design efforts don’t have to remain one dimensional: everything you design can be printed as a template for folding, cutting and gluing to make furniture, wallpaper and floor coverings for use in a real doll house.

The Doll House software is US$6.50 and is available from Creative Kidstuff who ship to Australia.

Katrina Whelen

Katrina studied planning and design, did the hard yards working in a big office building and then traded it all in for a relaxing (!) life at home with four children. She now fills her time with writing, completing a degree in genetics and taxiing her children around Melbourne to their various sporting commitments (not necessarily in that order).
