V is for video (a different way to learn the alphabet)

You may be used to reading alphabet books with your kids but an alphabet video shows letters in a whole new way.

The short film, Alphabet 2, shows both objects and actions associated with letters of the alphabet. Director Allesandro Novelli of n9ve has steered away from the standard ‘A is for apple… Z is for zebra’ and instead picked out some unusual words to represent such as ‘C is for Cell Animation’ and ‘E is for Equilibrium’. The result is good fun.

You will certainly need to watch this video clip a few times over to appreciate the detail – each letter represents the meaning of the word itself and together with an exceptionally clever soundtrack, it’s a rich two minutes viewing. Listen out for Funky Town mixed with Tetris sound effects and the letter ‘W’ blowing off a wall.
