I would like to say I found the UVSunSense Wristbands because I was planning a mid-winter ‘warm-up’ for the family in the south of France or the Caribbean. Unfortunately not – but they’re a terrific idea that I’ll have to remember come the next Australian summer when we head to our not-so-glamorous-but-still-very-hot family beach on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. If you are lucky enough to be planning a beach break, consider packing the UVSunSense Wristbands to help keep tabs on the family’s sun protection.
The wristbands monitor sun exposure by changing colour when sunscreen needs to be applied and alerting you when it’s time to find some shade and get out of the sun altogether. Although each band can only be used for a day before needing to be replaced, they are a great idea if you are planning a lot of outdoor time and have to keep tabs on the kid’s sunscreen.
One size fits adults and kids and there are seven bands per pack. Bands can be ordered through Amazon and cost US$5.87 per pack.
