Toys go ethical by Indian Feather

Don’t get me wrong – I love a good cheapie as much as anyone when it comes to toys, but I can never get around the idea that they might be made in factories with less than ethical conditions.

That’s why the toys from Indian Feather really speak to me. Dedicated to bringing you beautifully crafted pieces made from natural fibres, you can purchase anything from: natural wooden toys from Korea, 100 percent wool felt toys and blankets from a fair trade community group in Nepal, and hand-knitted toys from a knitting circle in Kenya.

If you’ve overdone it on the credit cards lately and need to justify the purchase to yourself, think about this: by buying one of these toys or blankets, you’re not only helping generations of women hold on to their traditions, you’re also helping them earn money.

My favourite? I Love the knitted monkey, $42.95. To purchase this little critte or something else from the range, visit Bubba Bling.
