Pregnancy (and its aftermath!) and breastfeeding were high on our hit list this May, and of course, some fairly momentous news about a certain Disney film which just sneaked in at the end of the month…

If you’ve ever wondered why you just cannot get your breastfed baby to sleep longer at night time, the answer might be partly evolutionary – readers were fascinated to read about the latest research suggesting that those sneaky little babies are simply trying to stop your family getting too big too soon!


It seems that anyone who has either been on a babymoon overseas, or thought about taking a babymoon overseas was interested in the cautionary tale of one little baby’s premature arrival in Bali.

Speaking of breastfeeding, plenty of our readers wanted to know more about the issues raised by the US-based pro-breastfeeding ad campaign “When Nature Calls“.


Another hot topic in May was A Beautiful Body Project – photography of real life mothers and the bodies they live in after pregnancy and birth. Our readers were a bit divided over this one, but everyone clearly wanted to have a look.

Disney on Ice announces Frozen

Ah, Frozen! It seems we really can’t escape from you anywhere, not even on the pages of Babyology! Disney On Ice‘s plan to bring the hit flick Frozen to the ice rink really had the crowds talking. This one is all the more notable for slipping into our top posts for May, since we only told you about it with a couple of May days to spare!
