Top five Etsy finds in July

The coldest winter month seemed to have everyone in a nesting kind of mood, with three of the top five Etsy finds in July being things to help organise and spruce up kids’ rooms.

“A place for everything and everything in its place” is the mantra we try to drum into kids reluctant heads. This lovely personalised wall hook from Metalya (above) is sure to help.

Limmaland transforms an IKEA Kritter table into a network of roads and city blocks with a colourful decal. Attach a storage basket to the table and you’ve got an activity that satisfies our slightly obsessive need to tidy up.

The Etsy picks can’t just be for kids. Who’s making this list anyway? A pretty floral nappy bag from Bo-Rann looks like a messenger bag a hipster might wear, and will keep mums looking stylish, even if you haven’t slept for more than two hours in a row in the six months since your baby was born.

For renters and people who don’t want to leave family history behind when they move, there’s a portable height chart by Real Ruler Co reminiscent of an old school ruler. At two metres high, this chart has even the most bean pole-y teens covered.

Our last item has a touch of magic – of the fairy tooth persuasion. Short of giving you the power to fly, this DIY kit by Lori Danelle has everything you need to play the role of tooth fairy, except wings. We’ll put that one in the suggestion box.
