Top family holiday stories of 2013

Città del Mare 08

Whether you were planning an actual holiday or just finding a fun way to procrastinate, Babyology’s travel posts were hot, hot, hot this year.

Our most popular travel post was most definitely the in-flight nanny service launched by Etihad Airways. Etihad’s Flying Nanny scheme is designed to help entertain children on long-haul flights. Just brilliant.

Città del Mare 06

Everyone was interested in our post on the super-dooper waterslide at hotel Citta del Mare on the coast of Sicily, Italy. Not only does it have three levels of awesome slide fun, it is set on a cliff-face, meaning it plops you straight into the ocean at the very end of your water adventure.

Phil & Teds Traveller Travel Cot Portacot

When it comes to family travel, every parent wants answers to their bedding questions. Our round-up of travel cots scored lots of views with portable sleep solutions for newborns, bubs and toddlers.

travel with kids 05

The plane travel with kids post had such a comprehensive list of advice, it’s no wonder so many people checked it out. It covered everything from children’s luggage to in-flight kids entertainment. Next time you are travelling by plane with your children or know someone who is, this list is well worth another read.

Our list of the five best luxury family holidays was a winner. Just looking at the idyllic images of Vietnamese beaches and to-die-for views, is enough to make you want to start organising the next family get-away.

And finally, one of our most memorable travel posts of 2013 was the Legoland Hotel in California. Isn’t this what every kid dreams of? Scratch that. Isn’t this what every parent dreams of?

So if you’ve had enough of dreaming about the next family holiday, it’s time to start booking!
