Nightlights are a fixture in almost all kids’ bedrooms. In our house, the nightlight has a dual purpose: to help my daughter go to sleep as she doesn’t appreciate a dark room and to help me see at night for that inevitable trek to her bedside.
Designer Jasper Hou has created Timer To Light, a nifty little light, which would also work brilliantly as a nightlight. It emits a soft light created mechanically through its timer base. I’ll bet you’re asking how it works. Simply turn the timer and as it slowly unwinds, the energy powers the lamp. Very innovative indeed, with some cool colours to boot.
I’d try this out if it was available but it’s only a design concept at this stage and not for public sale. If it ever does come our way, we’ll let you know.
