The Yeti is real

Our readers in the warmer, northern climes may just think these Yeti booties are ridiculous….. but the toes of southern Australian babes can get cold. What better way to stay warm than with alpaca fur?

Handmade from 100 per cent baby alpaca fur and with soft suede soles, booties won’t come much fluffier than these*. They are available in brown and white and fit babies up to nine months.

Designer Samantha Holmes works with alpaca fur to create the softest baby essentials. Crochet-edged blankets, knitted booties, berets, pixie hats and even baby leg warmers are all available in pale blue, pink and cream.

Alpaca is a great alternative for those that are allergic to lambswool.

Find the Yeti booties at Not On the High Street for about £50 plus post.

*Alpacas are not harmed for their fleece – they are shorn, like sheep.
