The Tent Sofa

Is it a bed? Is it a sofa? Is it a tent? Yes, yes and yes! This nifty little number designed by Philippe Malouin solves sleepover and playtime issues with one simple piece. With a few twists and turns the chair transforms into a bed or a tent-like, private little space – just right for some quiet reading.

The Tent Sofa was inspired by military tents, hence the khaki green and the traditional tent shape. Malouin’s design also addresses the lack of privacy sleepover guests get when they have to bunk down on the lounge room floor – in bed mode, guests have their own space.

The Tent Sofa was launched in April this year and will be available late 2009. We’ll keep you posted.
