Did you have ‘days of the week’ undies when you were little? I did, but oddly they came in a six-pack and there were no Sunday undies… it irked me as a seven-year-old and it’s a point I’m still pondering thirty years later.
The ‘days of the week’ sets at Canada’s Chloe in Style are complete and a lot more stylish than printed knickers. Instead, little girls are wearing the days of the week on their hair clips. In fact, these are likely to be the most detailed, delicately handcrafted hair clips you’ll come across. No glue is used – each clip is entirely hand stitched using bright wool felts, pretty scalloped edges and the days of the week are painted on in a neat cursive script. Chloe in Style has every last detail covered – when you purchase your clips, you need to mention what side (left or right) your clip will be worn, so that you don’t get your days upside down. A full week of hair clips is CAN$68.95.
Equally detailed and perfectly personalised are the monogram hair clips at CAN$14.95 and a large range of felt clips, including lots of cute designs such as ‘I love ice cream’ and some very sweet birds and rabbits.
Chloe in Style has an eclectic but thoroughly beautiful collection of all sorts of things. You know you’re in for something different when an online store has a whole category devoted to ‘ponchos’! Also worth a peek are the elegant children’s bookplates. At CAN$39 for 32 self adhesive bookplates, I think it’s a fantastic way for kids to mark their very favourite books.
Chloe in Style ships internationally by arrangement.
