The new cubism from Re-modern – kids storage

remodern cubes

You know what I’ve noticed about children’s furniture lately? That unless you get something custom-made, it can all start looking a little too same-same-but-different. Sure, you can add some wall art and a throw cushion or bean bag here and there, but essentially, you’ve got the same pieces as Jane Bloggs down the street.

So you can imagine how much I’m loving the modular cubes from Re-modern. This recycled six mix cubes is hitting all the right notes for me. It’s a piece you can rotate around and rearrange to whatever configuration your heart desires, it’s lightweight so it can’t harm children if  knocked over, and best of all, it’s super-affordable at US$120 for a set of six coloured cubes.

Made from zBoard, a water-resistant recycled paper product made from almost 99 per cent post-consumer waste, it requires no assembly. Just peel a sticker and hey presto! Each cube measures 28.7cm L x 34cm W x 32cm H and you get a blue, red, green, orange, pink and white one in each set so you can design your room with flair even if you are on a budget.

They ship internationally so you may want to check out the other great children’s furniture at  the site while you’re there.
