The latest in iBabyMonitoring – the BabyPing

The walkie-talkie style baby monitor I had for my first baby is well and truly obsolete. The days of accidentally tuning into your neighbours’ baby as well as your own (a quirk of the old-style monitors) is also over. Baby monitoring is all grown-up with the BabyPing.

BabyPing is the latest in high-tech, ‘i-baby-monitoring’. The new, high security Wi-Fi baby monitor allows parents to hear, view and monitor their baby through an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch – plus there’s a few cutting edge features for gadget fans.

The BabyPing uses specially developed ‘Smart Filter’ technology to cut out the background noise and static normally associated with baby monitors. In addition, it offers a wealth of security and safety features which include alerts to inform the user if the baby cries, if the Wi-Fi connection has been broken or if your device is out of range. The developers of BabyPing call this ‘Constant-Connect’ – nice.

I think the fact that the BabyPing only operates with your home Wi-Fi network to transmit information will be reassuring for many parents.

BabyPing also features invisible infrared night vision, offering round the clock visibility without disturbing the baby.

No word on release date as yet but Baby Ping will be priced at $185 in Australia.
