For little dudes who like to colour, check out the Indie Rock Colouring Book. This book was created by the Yellow Bird Project, a Montreal based non-profit organisation that works with indie rock musicians to create unique t-shirt designs. All t-shirt sales go towards charities chosen by the musicians. Included in the line-up is Australia’s very own Wolfmother.
The Indie Rock Colouring Book takes the successful formula used for the tees and applies it to paper, offering kids (and music fan parents) over thirty pages of colouring and drawing activity. Each page features a drawing by UK based musician and illustrator Andy J. Miller, celebrating some of indie rock’s favourite bands. From finding birds in a beard and colouring in a carnival, to drawing hairstyles on band members and word searching for lyrics, the book will keep kids and parents busy. Profits from the book go to Yellow Bird’s charity projects.
One reviewer said, "This is the greatest colouring book since colouring was invented. I’ve decided to have kids just so I’ll have somebody to give this book to." Yes, I’m fairly certain there was nothing this cool to colour in when I was little!
