The coolest Christmas cards

Kids these days are exposed to so many special effects in movies, electronic games and even iPhone applications that you might think it takes a lot to impress them. However, the holographic football cards that came in packets of potato chips were the high point of my boys’ winter! Hardly high-tech but turning the card back and forth and watching Chris Judd ‘kick’ the ball is pretty exciting when you’re seven years old.

Check out Snapily, an online greeting card printing service that lets you upload multiple photographs and print them as holograms. Think about the festive possibilities – the standard family photo morphing into a family photo of everyone in Santa suits or super-cute shots of baby by the Christmas tree flipping to baby surrounded by lots of discarded wrapping paper. Actually, I’m sure our readers will come up with far less kitsch ideas than these!

Make it snappy to get your cards in time for Christmas! 3D Photo Cards are US$5.99 each and Snapily ship internationally.
