potente di Fuoco

Potente di Fuoco is a collection of real and imaginary animals drawn in 1985 and then again in 2009. The same creatures by the same artist, Leonardo Ericailcane, except in 2009, he is all grown up.

Ericailcane’s parents gave him drawings he had done as a child. Saved for many years, the simple, childish sketches were the starting point for Ericailcane’s book, Potente di Fuoco. The result is interesting and makes you wonder how much Ericailcane remembered of each picture when he drew the ‘adult’ version.

Katrina Whelen

Katrina studied planning and design, did the hard yards working in a big office building and then traded it all in for a relaxing (!) life at home with four children. She now fills her time with writing, completing a degree in genetics and taxiing her children around Melbourne to their various sporting commitments (not necessarily in that order).
