Sydney Children’s Festival at Carriageworks 5-17 October 2009

With a huge variety of performances, workshops and exhibitions all aimed at children, families will feel right at home at the Sydney Children’s Festival presented by Carriageworks, which starts on Monday. We will be taking the kids on the first day, for my youngest son’s second birthday (where did that time go?) and will drop our eldest off at Erth’s Amazing Room while we take the birthday boy to the storytelling.

The Circus Skills Workshops sound wonderful for the five to twelve set, as do the free gardening workshops. Exhibitions include sculpture from local schools, The Wishing Forest, and a giant kaleidoscope where you become a part of the illusion.

Check out the full schedule for the timetable of events and slot in some time to take the kids to this magnificent event. All the information you need to know regarding suitable ages for events, times, venues and costs (most are free) are clearly stated.
