I like a hint of edginess in my kids clothing, I’m not talking straight out rock band references but something that is just a tad cooler than elephants and giraffes. (No offence, I like cute too.) There’s a middle ground that is hard to reach and this is why I love this brand.
Sweet Child of Mine is all about fun fabrics and comfortable but super stylish cuts…what’s not to love? There is a rockabilly meets bohemian-beach vibe to the patterned pieces which means they are easy to wear and a really versatile when it comes to outfit choices. Perfect for when the kids want to start throwing together their own ensembles.
It’ s the little details that caught my eye though. The gorgeous Nap Nap Pants can be worn as bloomers under a dress or as shorts on their own and the lighter fabrics are all lined so you can’t see the cartoon characters on the nappy through the fabric. There’s lots of pretty florals for little girls and a camo version for boys too, with lots of other boyish options in the other designs. The Sassy Pants can be tied loosely around the ankle for a lounge fit or wrapped twice for a more harem look.
How amazing are these pom pom shorts! The good news is they are coming soon in women’s sizes! Prices are really reasonable, starting at $10 for bibs. Most of the clothing comes in small, medium and large, fitting little ones from two to eight years. The lovely Nap Nap pants are perfect from newborn to toddler age. The cuts are all quite relaxed, with soft fabric and generous shapes. Contact Sweet Child of Mine direct with any sizing questions. Shipping is a flat rate of $6 in Australia.
