Tucked away in a little lane off the main street of bustling, pretty Daylesford is the Lark shop, a burst of colour, love and craftiness in this small country town. Allison Jones opened the store in an old factory building a year ago when her online business threatened to take over her house, and it has since been featured in many magazines and blogs.
Lark is a mini-department store, with each section (home, kids, women, stationery, party, craft) bursting at the seams with the latest and most lovely treats hand-picked by Allison. Featured designer brands include Rice, Belle & Boo, Mister Mista and Naomi Murrell, and the shop is one of Australia’s largest stockists of Cath Kidston’s vintage-style homewares and bags. Lark’s own ranges jostle for space with many unique finds from emerging designers here in Australia and across the world. There is also a large Handmade in Victoria section.
The store attracts visitors from all over Australia and is a hub for local residents with an interest in design and craft. If you love everything that’s cute, quirky, vintage and handmade then head to Lark in Daylesford, Victoria, where you’ll also find top-class spas, vintage stores and bric-a-brac markets, award-winning local produce and lots of other country towns nearby to explore and enjoy!
