Stephanie Schell – be dazzled by Winter ’09, in stores today

Look out ladies, the freshest releases from
Stephanie Schell are about to hit stores this week. Schell’s unique maternity garments have
that often elusive quality of making me fall in love instantly,
despite the fact I’m not doing any more child-making. One of the most
attractive features about this label is that it’s designed to last
far longer than any other maternity wear, being adjustable according to
the various phases a maternal body experiences.

Lauded internationally for her Summer ’08/’09 collection, which we featured here last
mothers around the world are flattering their beautiful bumps and
post-baby bodies with Stephanie’s ground-breaking designs
which allow discreet full-functionality while feeding baby. I have seen
for myself one of these exquisite garments in action – every
single piece is designed so that breastfeeding is facilitated via
ingenious mechanisms built within. Some feature individual front
panel openings, others have side or underbust access.

I just love the evocative description of the collection:

"Stephanie Schell’s Winter 2009 collection is a metamorphosis of the
old and the new. The collection was inspired by old world French
glamour with a rich array of draping winter whites, studded indigo
blues, ruched greys, tailored jet blacks and a flowing splash of silver."

I also applaud the personal touch she gives to the label by
modelling the garments herself. It’s so delightful to see such a
talent lending her face to her own label.

Stephanie Schell launched the
Winter ’09 range today. I’m sure expectant mothers will be
staking out the site as the weather is already tending towards cool in
some areas – don’t break those F5 buttons people!
