Yes, breast may be best when it comes to feeding babies but here at Babyology we also understand that sometimes things don’t quite go to plan. So here’s something that can ease the angst – and the drama – for those mums who find themselves for whatever reason having to rely on formula to feed their babies.
The Baby Bottle Thermos by designer Christopher Lavelanet for Danish lifestyle company Stelton has got to be the sleekest, hippest and best-looking way to keep bottles warmed when on the go that we’ve seen for a while. It’s so stylish that it may even deflect some of the tsk-tsking we’ve noticed being directed at mums who dare to brandish a baby bottle in public these days!
The feeding bottle is designed to sit inside a temperature retentive case that will keep the contents warm until needed. Just fill with boiling water at home and mix in the formula later at your leisure. No more relying on dodgy microwaves in even dodgier parents’ rooms when out shopping. And no more dragging along a bulky insulated bottle bag on outings – the slimline Stelton will slip right inside your nappy bag.
I don’t think I need to tell you that it will be just as handy – and eye-catching – for keeping cow’s milk or soy warm when heading out with an older baby or toddler.
Alas, the Stelton Baby Bottle Thermos is just a design concept at this stage but we will keep you posted should it ever make it into the real world. In the meantime, you may like to consider this equally remarkable and similarly stylish self-heating bottle from Iamo, as featured on Babyology earlier this year.
