These days, finding innovative and wow-worthy nursery furniture isn’t always easy. After a while, pieces start to look the same and seem to come from similar ideas. Considering myself to be a bit of a baby product veteran (having a slight obsession with finding the newest inventions out there), I am thoroughly impressed by the new Spot on Square ‘Roh’ collection of nursery furniture.
First up I noticed the way cool clear acrylic is used on the sides of the Roh cot. Imagine the feeling of light and space this will impart to your baby, as well as fostering an appreciation for good design early on. The locally sourced walnut wood – framing the cot beautifully – next caught my attention.
The best bit however is Spot on Square’s dedication to our environment and our babies’ safety and health. The acrylic is BPA free, phthalate free and 100 per cent recyclable; and every piece of their furniture is made in the USA, guaranteeing high quality and fair working conditions.
The Roh dresser pictured below is also a stunning piece of furniture that I could foresee in the nursery and then becoming a favourite in any room of the house.
We saw the Roh range at the ABC Kids Expo in Spetember and prices start at US$1590 for the cot and US$1290 for the dresser. Shipping to Australia will need to be organised through a freight forwarder. There is no Australian distribution on these products yet.
