Snuggle up – it’s a winter sleepwear roundup for babies and kids!

One of my kids’ all-time favourite things to do in winter is to have a pyjama day. You know, where you stay at home and lounge about in your pjs all day. Whether you just need new jim-jams to keep them cosy and comfy at night, or whether you’re planning a pyjama day of your own, here’s our favourite winter sleepwear warmers for babies and kids!

Snugglebum pyjamas have long been a Babyology favourite with their gorgeous buttery soft printed cotton pyjamas in sizes to suit everyone from as little as three months old to teenagers.

For slim fit, easy wear modal long sleeve tops and pants that are perfect for layering under sleep bags or as lighter winter pyjamas, you can’t look past Petite Papinelle. It’s here you will also find a couple of gorgeous slipper designs, including this awesome pair of fluffy lace up baby booties (below) to keep tiny toes toasty!

The stripes and spots have it at Hickory Hill Home this winter. Bold black and red stripes make a fun bedtime statement for young and older children. For some serious luxury sleepwear, we adore their Cashmere Cable Knit Baby Onesie (below) in sizes to fit children up to two years.

Forever partial to a polka dot and a stripe, these sweet slumber gems (below) from Huckleberry Lane, certainly don’t disappoint in the comfort and style arena. Beautiful long john sets and soft cotton knit rompers beg to be worn until noon, they’re that cosy! They also do delightful winter sleepsuits for babies, like the spotted number at the top of this post.

Perhaps my favourite pyjama post of the past year is that of Jammies Prêt-à-Porter. Our US friends are enjoying much warmer weather right now, but still offer long sleeve and long leg versions that make for fabulous transeasonal pjs. Layer up with a pair of socks and singlet for cooler evenings or homes without ducted heating.

Rube & Harri have a beautiful winter selection of sleepwear including girls nightgowns, which can sometimes be a little hard to come by. A collection for young children and older, there’s something for everyone here including modern cotton stretch sets and traditional button up shirt and pant ensembles.

If there is one thing to ensure bub keeps warm all night long, it’s with a sleeping bag. Dimples make a Merino Wool Sleep Sack up to a size two.  Match with their amazing Merino pyjamas and you have one seriously stylish dream team! If it’s a varying tog sleeping bag you’re on the hunt for, the INVENTA Sleep Bag from Love To Dream (below) serves up a super snug 2.5 tog for winter, perfect for the coldest of nights.

Of course, winter isn’t complete without a pair of slippers and we adore these very cute and colourful felt offerings from Good Wishes Quilts.

And there you have it – a shortlist of our favourite winter sleepwear attire. Be sure to share with us in the comments below more of your favourite brands for slippers and nightwear, we’d love to know what they are.
