San Franciscan company
Sillydot was born to appeal to the
silliness in everyone – that little bit of humour that lies just beneath the surface in us all. Their beautiful artworks and range of organic cotton tees and onesies feature cute critters saying adorable things, such as a birdy saying "I am big".
Sillydot’s artworks will add sweet whimsy when decorating your child’s
nursery – there’s nothing in the world like the thrill
of preparing your baby’s room, especially the first time around. It was
a rite of passage I relished, and with each item I added, my satisfaction and contentment grew. The artworks were the
last things to be hung, and I stood there with my huge belly, exhausted and happy, knowing my son would be cocooned in a room created with love. So too I remember the artworks being hung last thing in my second son’s room… he was 5 months old!
You can choose from giclee silkscreens (US$120), canvases ($85), or artwork on paper ($65), and onesies in sizes 3-6 months up to 18-24 months. The tees come in long- and short-sleeve (all $28) up to size 6 with a range of colour choices available. What’s handy about the site is that international shipping rates are displayed on each item (if only all sites had this feature!).

Vera Costa’s artworks. A Brazilian based in San Francisco since 2001,
she imparts her interpretation of childhood glee wonderfully.
