Seats for little smarties

smartiestools1.jpg

If there is one thing I have learnt about kids’ seating, it’s that it must be easily moveable… by the kids. Mums and dads are never going to get it right – you move their seat near the coffee table so they can do a puzzle and they decide it’s time for books. You move their seat to the window for good reading light and instead they want to swing around and watch TV. Despite the choice of comfortable chairs in our living room, the sought after seat amongst the kids is a small, padded footstool, simply because it can be moved to wherever the action is.

So my experience tells me that Smartie Stools will be an instant success. Available in shiny, bright colours, the stools are practical and fun. Have a couple and stack them up so there is always a spot for the kids and their friends to sit. Available in two sizes, they come in orange, aqua, lime and fuchsia and are made from heavy duty, high shine vinyl. Large Smartie stools are $74.95 and small are $37.95. They are available from Urban Baby.

Also new at Urban Baby is the seriously cute Elephant Chair. I’m not into froufrou or cutesy designs but I do like things that are clearly meant for nurseries and play rooms and I do have a soft spot for elephants. In pink or blue, this stylised elephant chair would be the perfect addition to the nursery. It’s simple and sweet but in no way over the top. The Elephant Chair is $99.95 and is available from Urban Baby.
