It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, dum-de-dum-dum-dee… and I’m absolutely thrilled! I love it all — the gaudy tinsel, the lights, the baubles, the trees, the carols and most of all, the excitement that appears on little faces when they realise Santa has been.
My two don’t have any cousins to share in the spotlight, so they’re a little indulged in the present department from both sets of doting grandparents. Last year I resorted to dragging my ironing basket to grandma’s to carry all the loot home after Christmas lunch. This year, the basket’s staying home – I’ve found something much more festive and infinitely more fun.
Say hello to these incredibly cute Santa Sacks from the incredibly cool Cradle Rock. The sacks, designed by Cradle Rock’s own Julie Lemmon and Jodi Walker of Itch Design fame, come in three designs that are so sweet, you’ll want them all. There’s one for boys, one for girls and one unisex reindeer sack that will have you humming ëSanta Claus is Coming to Town’ before you even realise it.
The sacks are made from 100 per cent organic cotton in Santa’s favourite shade of red. They are a whopping 75cm tall so they’ll fit the biggest load of Christmas toys your kids can throw in them. But that’s not the best bit – they come with a name tag, a bag of reindeer food and a checklist that should guarantee at least a week of pre-Christmas best behaviour from your brood. The sacks are $49.95 each from Cradle Rock plus a little extra for postage.
