Rockabye Baby

Who says baby bassinets need to be all frothy lace and fancy frills? Certainly not uber-cool Dutch design studio Puur. They’ve come up with the babyC instead — the perfect first cradle for stylish little newborns. Its minimalist design is meant to mimic the soft curves of a mother’s womb but we like it because there’s not a hint of chintz in sight.

The babyC is made from a mix of wood and lightweight polyethylene so you won’t wear out your wrist — or your floor – rocking your baby to sleep. It only comes in white and costs EUR 2650 or nearly AUD$4,500 plus shipping. Puur also custom-make a mattress to fit. The studio now has an Australian representative. Visit the Puur website to find out more.
